GW-L1 logistics truck
The Gerätewagen Logistik 1 – GW-L1 for short – is the German-standard light logistics truck for fire services. It carries smaller items of equipment and can also take over the role of the former GW-G1 hazardous-materials vehicle.

Body
The body is a load area – flatbed or box – with a tail lift, sized to carry at least four roll containers.
Crew
The crew is either a Trupp of two (1/1) or a Staffel of six (1/5), in German fire service notation: commander / firefighters.
Weight class and payload
The GW-L1 should preferably fall into vehicle mass class Light (L) under DIN EN 1846 – a maximum of 7.5 t, or 8.5 t in Bavaria. With standard equipment aboard and the crew seated, at least 2,000 kg of payload must remain.
Maximum overall length is 8,000 mm.
Restrictions in Baden-Württemberg: fixed installations on or in the vehicle – winches, built-in generators, light masts, breathing apparatus in the cab or crew compartment, pumps, water tanks and the like – are not permitted.
