MZF multi-purpose vehicle
Multi-purpose vehicles (Mehrzweckfahrzeuge, MZF) serve as resupply vehicles, carrying equipment and special extinguishing agents. They are built to be usable across as wide a range of tasks as possible. This page follows Guideline 5 of the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate; other states specify comparable vehicles.

Please note: Any additional equipment structure always requires an exemption permit – not only in the cases listed in the guideline.
Loading aid and winch
The MZF1 may have a loading aid; the MZF2 and MZF3 must have one.
A powered winch may be fitted to the MZF3.
Crew
The crew is either a Trupp of three (1/2) or a Staffel of six (1/5), in German fire service notation: commander / firefighters.
