Roll-off containers and hooklift systems
for fire services and disaster response
Roll-off containers are used mainly for logistics resupply and for special-purpose roles. They allow a single fleet to cover a wide range of missions without the cost of operating and maintaining a separate chassis for every task.
How the system works
The German system pairs an Abrollbehälter (AB) – the demountable container body – with a Wechselladerfahrzeug (WLF), a hooklift carrier truck. The carrier loads and unloads containers unaided, without additional handling equipment, so one carrier can serve many containers held in reserve. The principle is comparable to a US Load Handling System (LHS) or Palletized Load System (PLS).
This is what makes the system cost-effective for fire services and disaster-response units: containers stand ready and equipped for their role, while only the carrier has to be registered, insured, and maintained – so capability grows without the fleet growing.
To the German DIN 14505 standard – or to your own specification
Your container can be equipped with a wide range of options. In addition to the DIN 14505 standard version, we can build virtually any configuration you require.
